*Officiator:
Welcome all. We gather in this place at this moment to celebrate two journeys met, one of time and the other of distance. Two souls, two bodies, two hearts and two destinies will be bonded before us as they celebrate their commitment together as one.

The power they exchange binds them together as surely as any rope or chain ever could. It strengthens them and makes them one. It is with joy and honor that we share this moment; the locking of hearts, minds, spirits, and souls.

<GROOM> and <BRIDE> have come to witness before us, telling of their love for each other. We remember theirs is a love whose source is the affection of those who loved them into being.

At first glance, the beauty of a rose inspires lovers, poets, and artists.
Its soft petals mesmerize the eye and its fragrance stirs the senses. But this blossom did not spring fully formed. The journey from root to stem, from thorn to flower was exhilarating, at times difficult, but ultimately fulfilling. Strength, passion, perseverance and faith brought such a thing as this to life.

Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment you have been many things to one another — acquaintance, friend, companion, and even teacher. Now you shall say a few words that take you across the threshold of life, and things will never quite be the same between you.

Vows:
The couple will speak their hearts at this time if they wish
<GROOM PERSONAL VOWS>

<BRIDE PERSONAL VOWS>

*both say this
Groom:
I <GROOM> , take you <BRIDE> to be my wife, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

Bride:
I <BRIDE>, take you <GROOM> to be my husband, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

Rings:
*Officiator
<GROOM> and <BRIDE> have chosen rings as outward symbols of the commitment they make today.

From earliest times, the ring has been a symbol of wedded love. An unbroken and never-ending circle symbolizes a commitment to love that is also never ending.

<GROOM> , take the ring which you have selected, place it on <BRIDE>’s finger, and say to her these words.

This ring, a gift for you, symbolizes my desire that you be my wife from this day forward.

<BRIDE>, take the ring which you have selected, place it on <GROOM> ‘s finger, and say to him these words.

This ring, a gift for you, symbolizes my desire that you be my husband from this day forward.

Let these rings serve not as locks binding you together, but as keys, unlocking the secrets of your hearts for each other to know, and thus bringing you closer together forever.

GIVING OF THE COLLAR

With time the rose comes to full bloom, but through the long lifeline of this beauty flows pain and fear. For beauty as soft as this is often crushed. This life has branched into so many paths of curiosity on its search for the path to transcendence. Growing from the root, through the thorns of pain, to all the branches of choice this fragile bloom has found the way blossom into something beautiful.

But remember this beauty’s stem, all full of thorns and branches as all lives are filled with pain and choices. Separate, blossom and stem are merely parts of something that doesn’t make sense. Together they are perfection… the soft and the strong, pain and pleasure that are balanced. So, too, does your commitment to each other come together as something that perfect, that whole, that balanced.

((Master and submissive face each other with submissive kneeling at Dominant’s feet. Dominant places the collar around submissive’s neck.))

*Dominant:
With the placing of this collar around your neck and your acceptance thereof, I vow to do everything I can to be worthy of you. I promise to hold you and keep you safe, to stretch you and give you flight, to respect the needs of our relationship above all others, to love you, honor you, support you in all things and be sensitive to your needs and desires all underpinned by the respect that I have for you and the deep and joyful knowledge that with you, two halves are made whole.
I acknowledge the trust you have placed in me and the responsibility that goes with my acceptance of that trust. I will never violate or even threaten to violate that trust. I will endeavor to be open minded enough to learn new things and strong enough to grow. In times of trouble, to be a supportive friend and partner, never forgetting that this is still a loving relationship between two caring people.

I acknowledge and accept with all My heart the gift of submission you have made to Me. The collar itself is a symbol of that which we already know… that you are Mine and by it’s wearing, you are safe to be everything that you are.

*submissive
The collar You offer me is a powerful reminder of the control i have surrendered to You. i accept this collar as an outward expression of Your ownership of me.

i do so freely, fully and without restriction.

i agree to honor our relationship above all others, and seek to fulfill Your needs and desires as You allow. i promise to support You and to be there for You always when You need me. i promise to always communicate openly and honestly with You keeping nothing from You. i will strive to be the best soul mate that i can be for You and will not in any way dishonor You. i will love You also in silence within my soul. i will wear this collar with pride, knowing that You love me, cherish me, respect me and hold me above all others. And in my turn i promise to love, honor, respect and obey You for the rest of eternity.
